Teaching critical life skills and promoting behavioral health and wellness

VOICE empowers children and their families to lead healthy and productive lives through programs that teach critical life skills and promote behavioral health and wellness. These skills include making wise decisions, setting goals, respecting self and others and building positive relationships. Programs take place at Central Texas schools and community sites, such as housing authorities. Services are free and are funded by Texas Health and Human Services Commission grants and contributions from local foundations, businesses and individuals. VOICE also oversees VASA, a community coalition that implements environmental strategies related to the use and misuse of alcohol, tobacco and drugs.
