Empowering children and their families
VOICE empowers children and their families to lead healthy and productive lives through a variety of programs at schools and community sites. Included are those where students meet in large and small group settings to learn essential skills such as how to make appropriate decisions, communicate effectively and resist negative peer pressure. Some programs encourage children to increase their love of education and learn the value of healthy living, while others assist teens in developing leadership abilities and preparing for college. Another focuses on helping families improve their relationships. All programs are offered at no cost to participants. VOICE also oversees VASA, a community coalition that seeks to create a drug and alcohol-free culture for youth.
