Women Building Better Communities
The Junior League of Waco (JLW) is a nonprofit organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration and training.
JLW members reflect a wide range of backgrounds, interests and professional pursuits and
work together to identify unmet needs, forge effective coalitions and work for change, together making our community a healthier, more vital place to live.
Signature initiatives for JLW include the annual Women’s Empowerment Summit in partnership
with Waco ISD, Deck the Halls Holiday Gift Market and Pre-K Awareness Day in collaboration
with the Mayborn Museum.
Currently celebrating its 90th year, JLW welcomes a new member class every fall and spring and
encourages any woman in McLennan County to join us in service.
