“Betrayal”

Silent House Theatre Company will be putting on Harold Pinter’s “Betrayal”, a thrilling tale full of lies, deception, twists and infidelity. The show will run from April 19–21st at Mission Waco’s Jubilee Theatre, 1319 N 15th St. 

I’m Just a Girl at 507 Gallery

507 Gallery, located in Thrst Coffee Shop, 1500 Colcord Ave., has a new exhibit on display until May 10. This exhibit features art from Joselinne Amador. “I’m Just a Girl” is free and open to the public and you might as well grab a coffee while you look!

Eclipse: Shining Shadows 

Visit the Art Center Waco, 701 S 8th St., to see their new juried art exhibit “Eclipse: Shining Shadows.” This exhibit features works depicting the solar eclipse and is on display until May 4. The exhibit is free and open to the public. Check out their website to see exhibit hours.

Sip N’ Speak Poetry Night

THRST Coffee, 1500 Colcord Avenue, is back with their annual Sip ‘N’ Speak Poetry Night, hosted by April Neal. The event is from 69 p.m, and tickets can be purchased here

Taylor Swift Tribute Show

Head over to the Waco Hippodrome, 724 Austin Avenue, to see Charity, lead singer of Lover, perform Swift’s classics in this tribute show. From 6–10 p.m, come dance and have an unbelievable Eras Tour experience. Click here to purchase tickets

Geeks Who Drink

Get your facts right because it’s Trivia Night at Truelove’s Bar, located at 414 Franklin Ave. This evening consists of 60 questions over a two-hour period starting at 7 p.m. There are plenty of chances to win free drinks and prizes throughout the evening!

From 6–8 p.m, join in as one of Black Oak’s expert instructors guides participants through the basics of throwing on a pottery wheel. Whether it be a cup, vase, plate, bowl or something in between, come create your own masterpiece!

Saturday, April 20

The Great Waco Cleanup
From 9–11 a.m. Wacoans will be picking up trash and debris across Waco’s five districts. This event is a part of the Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup and is free to the public. All supplies will be provided — remember to wear closed-toed shoes — and register here. Keep Waco Beautiful is aware of the weather this morning, but rain or shine, the cleanup will still happen unless there is lightning in the area.

Mommy & Me Yoga Brunch

Milo Waco, 1020 Franklin Avenue, is hosting a Mommy and Me Yoga Brunch. From 9–11 a.m, enjoy some fun yoga on the Milo patio, then stick around for some  by brunch. 

Waco Downtown Farmers Market

The Waco Downtown Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 9 a.m–1 p.m. and is located at 500 Washington Ave. This market features locally grown and produced goods from farmers and artisans within 150 miles of Waco. There is always live music and a featured local organization each week. This week is the Waco Friends of the Climate who will be giving out free seedlings while supplies last. Party for the Planet

Keep Waco Beautiful is giving away free plants at Cameron Park Zoo’s, 1701 N 4th St., party for the planet from 9 a.m. –2 p.m.! There will be thrifted vases and plants to take back to your home. To learn more about the party details, visit Cameron Park Zoo’s website.

Fly Fishing Fair

From 9 a.m –4 p.m, the FFI Texas Council will host a fly fishing fair at the Brazos Park East, 3100 North Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard. This event will offer free fly fishing classes, fly fishing presentations, vendors, food trucks, beverages and kid friendly activities. 

Crawfish Boil

Head over to the Animal Hospital of Waco, 2501 La Salle Avenue, for their crawfish bowl. From 10 a.m–3 p.m, come and enjoy crawfish and shop from local vendors. 

Pinewood Block Party

Get ready for Pinewood’s 4th annual block party. From 11 a.m–10 p.m head over to Pinewood Pub, 2223 Austin Avenue, to enjoy live music performances, a lunchtime crawfish boil, party merchandise for purchase, and much more. 

Free Coffee Tasting & Cupping Event 

Head over to Lighthouse Coffee & Wine, 624 Washington Avenue, to enjoy their free coffee cupping and tasting event. From 2–3:30 p.m, explore the unique flavors of various roasts of coffee, discuss brewing methods and have a cupping experience you won’t forget. 

Rootstock Texas Wine Festival

Rootstock Texas Wine Festival is back and better than ever. Head over to Earle-Harrison House, 1901 North 5th St, to enjoy an array of sparkling wine. From 2–8 p.m, enjoy fifteen sparkling wine tastings, along with an educational session on sparkling production.
