If you’re into live media, great food and lots of fun, then be on the lookout for Waco Block Party. From Feb. 29—Mar. 2, enjoy local musical talent, short films, live podcast recordings, food trucks, business vendors and so much more. Entry is free. 

Cirque Italia Water Circus

The circus is back in town. Head over to the Cirque Italia Texas Headquarters, 6615 N Interstate 35 Frontage Rd, from Feb. 29—Mar. 3 to enjoy a thrilling pirate themed-circus show that will feature treasure, aerials and stunning tricks!

Journey to Space at the Mayborn Museum

Climb aboard and experience what it is like to live and work in space at the Mayborn Museum’s “Journey to Space” exhibit. Visitors will explore the extraordinary environment of space, including the very real dangers that astronauts face during their missions above Earth.

Thursday, February 29th

Practicing Medicine in Space

Head over to the Mayborn Museum, 1300 South University Parks Dr., to hear Dr. Sparky Matthews talk about Space Medicine. From 2—3 p.m., hear all about how to prepare astronauts for space, how to manage your health in orbit, recovering in space and so much more. Baylor Libraries Author Series: Tommy Bowman and Chad Conine

Baylor Libraries, Baylor Press and the Mayborn Museum are welcoming back Baylor basketball legend Tommy Bowman and Chad Conine for their author series. From 6—8 p.m, enjoy a night of storytelling, Q&As and refreshments. 

Wheel Throwing Workshop

Black Oak Art, 1619 Franklin Ave, is hosting a wheel throwing workshop. From 6—8 p.m, join in as one of Black Oak’s expert instructors guides participants through the basics of throwing on a pottery wheel. Whether it be a cup, vase, plate, bowl, or something in between, come create your own masterpiece!  

“All Roads Lead to Waco” Art Showcase

The Waco Downtown Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 9 a.m.1 p.m. and is located at 500 Washington Ave. This market features locally grown and produced goods from farmers and artisans within 150 miles of Waco.
