12 Days of Christmas: Whiskey Edition

J.S. Barnett’s Whiskey House, 420 Franklin Ave., is kicking off their holiday season in style with their 12 days of discounted whiskey. From Dec. 12—24, enjoy discounted whiskey, and sample from some of the best bottles in their collection this holiday season.

“White Christmas”: Waco Civic Theatre

Waco Civic Theatre is putting on their rendition of “White Christmas”, an uplifting, wholesome musical about two World War II veterans who venture out to follow a dazzling duo of singing sisters to win over their hearts. The show will run from Dec. 14—23. Click here to purchase tickets.

A New Moon Rises

The Mayborn Museum, 1300 S University Parks Dr., is hosting a new exhibit through April 14 filled with highly detailed photographs of the moon. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore dramatic landscapes, majestic mountain ranges, lunar poles and much more.

Sing-Along w/Santa

The Richland Mall, 6001 W Waco Dr., is celebrating the holiday season with a “Sing-Along with Santa”. Don’t miss the chance to sing along with Santa Claus this holiday season every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1—1:30 p.m.

Christmas Lights in the Village

The Mayborn Museum Complex, 1300 S University Parks Dr., will put up thousands of lights at their Historic Village. Dec. 15—17, from 6—9 p.m., enjoy train rides, a petting zoo, audio tours, visits with the Claus’, local food vendors and much more. Click here to purchase tickets.

Lights of West

Families can create Christmas magic at the Lights of West with many other attractions like pictures with the twenty-foot Santa or Snowman, or photos with the live Santa on select weekends. Concessions, a light maze, and letters to Santa are sure to keep your kiddos entertained. New this year, roast marshmallows and enjoy a Christmas movie under the lighted pavilion. The park will be open nightly, 6—10 p.m.

North Pole Palooza

At the Extraco Events Center, 4601 Bosque Blvd., enjoy an exciting Christmas experience featuring ice skating, Santa, cocoa, snow games, petting zoos, ice bars, and much more at North Pole Palooza! This extravaganza is until December 17.

Wild Lights @ Cameron Park

Enjoy a spectacular light show at Cameron Park Zoo all month long! Every night (excluding Christmas Eve and Day) from 6—9 p.m. kids and adults can walk around the Zoo and meet Santa. This event is included with a general admission ticket.

XOXO: An Exhibit About Love & Forgiveness

The Mayborn Museum has brought a new type of exhibit to Central Texas. XOXO: An Exhibit About Love & Forgiveness is a fun, interactive exhibit that teaches children and adults how to understand, appreciate and express emotions. The exhibit will run until January 7. Baylor Women’s Basketball: Baylor vs. Delaware State

Baylor Women’s Basketball is facing off against the Delaware State University Hornets at the Ferrell Center, 1900 S University Parks Dr., from 11 a.m.—1 p.m. Click here to purchase tickets.

Open Paint

Hammer & Stain, 214 S 11th St., is hosting an open paint event from 2—6 p.m. All are welcome to walk in and grab a project from their ‘open paint’ selection to create a special masterpiece.

Karaoke Thursdays

Head over to Pee-Wee’s Crabcakes, 108 Jim Dr., from 5:30—8:30 p.m. to enjoy po boys, shrimp, cajun crab cakes, catfish and amazing karaoke from K Entertainment.

Steak Night

J.S. Barnett’s Whiskey House, 420 Franklin Ave., is hosting a steak night. From 6—9 p.m., come enjoy a beef filet, salad and two sides for $20, along with half-off bottles of wine.

Darts Tournament

Clicks’ Billiards, 1200 Richland Dr., is hosting its weekly darts tournament starting at 7 p.m.

Geeks who drink

Get your facts right because it’s Trivia Night at Truelove’s Bar, located at 414 Franklin Ave. This evening consists of 60 questions over two hours starting at 7 p.m. There are plenty of chances to win free drinks and prizes throughout the evening!

Asleep at the Wheel

Stars over Texas Jamboree: Christmas Edition

Lee Lockwood Library and Museum, 2801 W Waco Dr., is hosting its monthly, family-style musical variety show. From 7—9 p.m., watch special guests Classic Voice, Teresa Byford, Raini Rae, Andy Thomas, Stacey Sark, Dodie Trevino and Megan Drew and many more as they take over the Lockwood for a night of celebration. Eastside Pop-Up

One Day Bar, 618 Columbus Ave., is having a special Eastside Market pop-up experience. From 5—10 p.m., shop business vendors, food, drinks and live music.

Wheel Throwing Workshop

Black Oak Art, 1619 Franklin Ave., is hosting a wheel-throwing workshop. From 6—8 p.m., join in as one of Black Oak’s expert instructors guides participants through the basics of throwing on a pottery wheel. Whether it be a cup, vase, plate, bowl, or something in between, come create your own masterpiece!

Ugly Sweater Contest & Bruce Carbonara

Waco Downtown Farmers Market

The Waco Downtown Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 9 a.m.—1 p.m. and is located at 500 Washington Ave. This market features locally grown and produced goods from farmers and artisans within 150 miles of Waco.
