Waco Wonderland

Waco Wonderland will take place Dec. 1—3 at Heritage Square in downtown Waco, located at 300 Austin Ave. There will be food trucks, a petting zoo, snow slide, parade and so much more. For more information visit their website

“A Charlie Brown Christmas” 

The classic animated television special “A Charlie Brown Christmas” comes to life at the Waco Civic Theatre in this faithful stage adaptation in which Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang discover the true meaning of Christmas. “Twas The Night Before Christmas”

The wild holiday adventures of a mouse, an elf and a spunky little girl who just won’t take no for an answer, on their quest to find out why Santa missed their house last year. A joyful tribute to the holiday season by Wild Imaginings! This show is happening Thursday through Saturday, for tickets click here.

A Baylor Christmas

Hear the sounds of Christmas from the Baylor Music program! There are three show opportunities on Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m. and a Sunday show at 3 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here. 


Join Baylor Theatre as CaBEARet presents a concert version of “9 to 5 the Musical”. Mark the dates for this show on your calendar now for December 1 and 2. The show is double cast so different performers are playing the leads each night!

Holiday Makers Market

Ramble & Co., 216 S 11th St., is hosting a holidaymakers market with local vendors! In addition to shopping, there will be food, drinks and ornament making. Market hours for Saturday are 10 a.m.—7 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.—3 p.m.

A Suessified Christmas Carol 

Join Wild Imaginings on the back half of the weekend for their children’s Christmas play! This production is on Saturday and Sunday at University Baptist Church, 1701 Dutton Ave. For tickets and more information visit their website.

Waco International Open IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2023

The IBJJF hosts one of the biggest Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournaments in the world and now, it is coming to Waco! Come kick it and watch the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation Open at the Extraco Center, 4601 Bosque Blvd! Holidays with Camp Fimfo

Celebrate the holidays every weekend with Camp Fimfo, 1000 Chickadee Lane! There will be photo-ops and activities for the whole family. This event is free and open to the public. 

Wild Lights

Enjoy a spectacular light show at Cameron Park Zoo all month long! Every night from 6—9 p.m. kids and adults can walk around the Zoo and meet Santa. This event is included with a general admission ticket

North Pole Palooza

At the Extraco Events Center, 4601 Bosque Blvd., enjoy an exciting Christmas experience featuring ice skating, Santa, cocoa, snow games, petting zoos, ice bars, and much more at North Pole Palooza! This extravaganza is from November 24 until December 17.

Lights of West

Families can create Christmas magic at the Lights of West with many other attractions like pictures with our twenty-foot Santa or Snowman, or photos with the live Santa on select weekends. Concessions, a light maze, and letters to Santa are sure to keep your kiddos entertained. New this year, roast marshmallows and enjoy a Christmas movie under our lighted pavilion. The park will be open nightly, 6—10 p.m.

Christmas at the Silos

Starting Friday it’s a month of merry at the Silos, 601 Webster Ave.! They’ve got all sorts of fun planned to keep you in the Christmas spirit. Gather your loved ones and delight in the holiday season together. For more information visit their website.

XOXO: An Exhibit About Love and Forgiveness

The Mayborn Museum, 1300 S University Parks Dr., has a new exhibit all about understanding emotions. This interactive exhibit is perfect for families and is open until January 7, 2024. Ticket prices are available on the museum’s website

Christmas on 5th Street

Celebrate Christmas on Baylor’s campus with horse-drawn carriages, snow zone, Christmas marketplace, local food trucks and a live nativity with Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, live camels and donkeys starting at 5 p.m. Inside the SUB are make & take activities for kids, lots of picture-perfect photo moments and of course, Mr. and Mrs. Claus. This event is free and open to the public.

Sabor: Taste The Nations

Taste through the cuisines of Latin America with the Cen-Tex Hispanic Chamber of Commerce! At the Cameron Park Clubhouse, 2601 N University Parks Dr., at 6 p.m. enjoy wine, tapas and live music. To purchase tickets, visit their website

Boot Scootin’ Dance Club

If you’re a cowboy, cowgirl or someone who enjoys country music and dancing, the Boot Scootin’ Dance Club is the place to be. Styles of dance include two steps, polka, waltzes and a special appearance—the chicken dance. Guests will meet at the Sul Ross Senior Center, 1414 Jefferson Avenue, from 7—9:15 p.m. There is a $6 cover charge. 

Songwriter night with Jonna Mae, Texas Music Cafe, 7 p.m. 

Trivia Night

It’s Thursday which means it’s Trivia Night at Brotherwell Brewing, located at 400 E Bridge St. Trivia is from 7—9:30 p.m. and each week covers different trivia topics. Be sure to bring a team that has a wide variety of knowledge!

Geeks Who Drink

Get your facts right because it’s Trivia Night at Truelove’s Bar, located at 414 Franklin Ave. This evening consists of 60 questions over a two-hour period starting at 7 p.m. There are plenty of chances to win free drinks and prizes throughout the evening!

Darts Tournament

Cultivate Christmas Gala

Central’s Market

Central’s Market is an annual tradition presented by Central Christian Church of Waco, 4901 Lake Shore Dr., and hosted by CCCWaco Disciples Women’s Ministry. There will be more than 25 vendors with unique gifts, a delicious lunch, bake sale with too many goodies to list, and take-home casseroles for sale. Bring a friend from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and begin your holiday shopping!

Waco Downtown Farmers Market

The Waco Downtown Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 9 a.m.—1 p.m. The market features locally grown and produced goods from farmers and artisans within 150 miles of Waco, plus live music and a featured local organization each week. The market is located in the McLennan County Courthouse parking lot at 500 Washington Ave. Visit their website to view a calendar of upcoming events.

Family Day at the Art Center 

Drop into Art Center Waco, 701 S 8th St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a wonderful family day celebrating ACW’s 50th anniversary with story time, face painting, multiple “taster” art stations led by local art teachers, all-age gallery tours, live music and a FREE hot chocolate bar! Gingerbread House Decorating Party

Christmas on the Brazos
