Waco Habitat for Humanity ReStore

Building Homes, Community & Hope

The folks at Waco Habitat for Humanity envision a world where everyone has a safe, decent and affordable home. They not only build homes, but also a better community and ultimately hope. The Waco Habitat ReStore, a building material recycling center, helps accomplish this mission in three unique ways with positive impacts for the community, on the environment and through financial support. For the community, the ReStore offers a diverse selection of building materials to the public at greatly reduced prices, serves as a recycling/donations center and provides community service and volunteer opportunities. They help the environment by working with City of Waco Solid Waste Services to facilitate household hazardous waste disposal, with businesses to recycle metals and cardboard and the ReStore building generates part of its own electricity. The ReStore also supports Waco Habitat for Humanity by providing sustainable funding and enabling financial donors to give directly to programs. Stop by the ReStore for your next project and watch for sales throughout the year including the fall half-price sale.
