United Way of Waco-McLennan County

Local giving. Local impact.

Community Chest was founded in McLennan County in 1923 with the vision of responding to the community’s needs by allocating dollars to local health and human service programs. Almost 100 years later, it is now United Way of Waco-McLennan County and their mission is to mobilize resources to measurably improve the lives of local residents. They believe our county is only as strong as our youngest residents, so they work in partnership with corporate, private and civic leaders to improve the education, health and financial stability of every person, as well as ensure safety net services are available where needed. Through the generous support of their donors and the strength of their nonprofit partners, they are united in their mission because Change Doesn’t Happen Alone.
