“If You’ve Got the Project, We’ve Got the Tool.”
Remember the days when you could walk in a neighborhood hardware store, ask a question and get the right answer? The days when you didn’t have to roam aisles and look for someone to help you find the correct tool for your project? The days when tools were affordable? That’s The Tool Shed. Great customer service, tools priced way below retail, aisles, and aisles of power tools, hand tools, fasteners, hardware, garden tools and more. And everything you buy — yes, all proceeds go to Friends for Life, a Waco charity that has helped adults with disabilities and the elderly live the fullest life possible since 1989. As tools are donated, they go over them with TLC and place them on well-organized racks. It’s fun to come in, browse around and meet Charlie Turner — the manager who knows his tools and everything Waco and Hewitt. The Tool Shed should be your first and often place to stop. Used tools don’t mean junk tools — there are tons of quality tools to choose from. If you have a question, Charlie is knowledgeable and offers old-fashioned customer service. Since they get donations daily, every shopping experience is unique. Like when a customer donated an old sewing machine that did embroidery and a 1959 top-of-the-line Weiss camera lens. You never know what treasures you will find. It’s like the old store your granddad spent Saturday mornings in. There is no other store quite like the Tool Shed, and Charlie makes it very special. This is also a great volunteer opportunity for someone with a few hours to spare and they can always use more tool donations. Stop by and check them out!
