The Salvation Army Waco

Serving McLennan County

The Salvation Army has continually provided practical and spiritual support to neighbors in need throughout McLennan County faithfully since 1891. As a Christian church and charitable organization, The Salvation Army’s mission is to serve in His name without discrimination, helping those in crisis to rebuild their lives by identifying long term solutions while building a foundation toward self-sufficiency. Services include shelters, community kitchen and food pantry, senior and handicapped housing, rehousing and homelessness prevention, free drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, inmate reintegration, disaster response, thrift store, church, youth, fellowship and music programs, camps and holiday assistance including Toys for Tots. The Salvation Army’s brand promise, “Doing the Most Good,” represents a pledge to do the most good with this community’s generous donations of money, time, and resources.
