Ending Youth Homelessness
On October 3rd, 2026, The Cove is celebrating its 10-year anniversary. The Cove opened in 2016 to provide a safe place for high school aged youth who are experiencing homelessness in the Heart of Texas region.
Since opening, The Cove has supported over 670 14–18-year-olds as they gained housing and developmental stability, hope in their education and employment and meaningful relationships. Their dedicated team provides after-school programming, case management and drop-in services, as well as connections with community partners to best serve Waco’s youth.
At The Cove, youth can access showers, laundry, dinner, tutoring, one-to-one support, attendance recovery and educational and life skill activities. This is what it looks like to end youth homelessness: providing a safe place to grow stability, hope and connection.
