Ending Youth Homelessness
The Cove opened in 2016 to provide a safe space for teenagers who are experiencing homelessness in the Heart of Texas region. Since opening, The Cove has supported over 420 teenagers, ages 14-18, by being a place for youth to develop a personal pathway to increase their housing stability, educational attainment and connectedness. Cove staff assist youth with finding safe, long-term housing solutions, building hope for their future endeavors and connecting teenagers to resources within the Waco community. At The Cove, youth can access showers, a washer and dryer, dinner, tutoring, one-on-one support and develop healthy relationships. This is what it looks like to end youth homelessness—providing a safe space to grow stability, hope and connection. Visit thecovewaco.org to learn more about The Cove.
