The Blasian Asian

Alternative to the Ordinary Eating Routine

Chavrat (Chevy) DuBose was born and raised in Cambodia. She moved to the United States at the age of 24 where she resided for 18 years in Seattle before she and husband, Mike, moved to Waco to accept a promotion with his job. They quickly found it was difficult to find Cambodian food in Waco, and Chevy would travel to either Austin or Dallas to pick up items from various Asian markets to create traditional Cambodian dishes. She began sharing and cooking for friends who enthusiastically encouraged her to share her dishes on a larger scale. In October 2016, Mike and Chevy decided to buy a small food trailer to see what would happen. In December, Chevy, Mike, and son Aaron debuted some of Chevy’s favorite Cambodian dishes as The Blasian Asian. As the popularity of her food quickly grew, The Blasian Asian moved to a larger trailer and ultimately found a spot at Union Hall. Join the family at The Blasian Asian, and enjoy an alternative to the ordinary eating routine.
