“The Toughest Half in Texas”
The Bearathon is Baylor University Student Foundation’s largest event each year. Now in its 16th year, the Bearathon is proudly known within the running community as “The Toughest Half in Texas.” The Bearathon routinely welcomes more than 2,000 competitors from all over the country. It provides a unique opportunity to showcase the beauty of the Baylor campus and the Waco community to guests as the course features many of Waco’s most beloved monuments – Cameron Park, the Suspension Bridge, the Brazos River and McLane Stadium just to name a few. Thank you, Waco, for your support, and voting us the best running event for the third straight year. The team at Baylor University Student Foundation is proud to showcase Wacotown and welcomes the community’s participation. The Bearathon is Student Foundation’s single largest and most effective fundraiser each year providing tens of thousands of dollars to the Bearathon Endowed Scholarship Fund.
