Cultivating Visual Arts In Waco
The Art Center of Waco aims to cultivate the visual arts in Central Texas. For more than 40 years, they have fulfilled this mission through art exhibitions, educational programming and collections at the Cameron Building on McLennan Community College’s campus. After structural problems were discovered, the Art Center purchased and plans to renovate a new space downtown on South 8th Street. Throughout this process, staff will continue to take the Art Expedition mobile gallery to area schools and events, provide children’s classes, host artist talks and more to keep the community connected to art and artists from all over Texas. Stay tuned for more news about the new downtown building.
