Comprehensive cancer care
At Texas Oncology, they believe patients should feel confident about the treatment and support they receive from their care team during their fight against cancer. Texas Oncology offers comprehensive, evidence-based treatment at two locations in Waco. Both locations provide medical oncology services, including chemotherapy and infusion, while Texas Oncology–Waco also offers leading-edge radiation oncology. Diagnostic imaging, laboratory services and a pharmacy are close at hand to make our patient’s cancer experiences less daunting. Support groups, financial counseling and Genetic Risk Evaluation and Testing are also available. In addition, Texas Oncology encourages participation in clinical trials geared to prevent cancer and its recurrence. More than 2,500 Texas Oncology patients statewide are involved in clinical trials ranging from phase I to IV. Knowledgeable physicians, nurse practitioners and other healthcare members work as a team to customize treatment for each patient. They have years of experience in treating cancer and blood disorders and provide support throughout all the stages of treatment. Most patients receive care in an outpatient setting, so they can stay near their support system of family and friends. Texas Oncology provides compassionate care for more than 50,000 new cancer patients every year. They have an extensive network of more than 460 physicians and 210 locations throughout the state.
