Texas Oncology in Waco

Comprehensive Cancer Care

Patients deserve access to the best cancer care available, the confidence to fight and the resources to keep fighting. Texas Oncology provides comprehensive, evidence-based treatment at two locations in Waco. Texas Oncology–Waco, which offers radiation oncology services such as 4D CT scanning, intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), has recently earned their American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO) accreditation. ACRO strives to ensure the highest quality care for radiation therapy patients and promote success in the practice of radiation oncology. Both Waco locations offer medical oncology, including chemotherapy and infusion. Diagnostic imaging, laboratory services and pharmacies are close at hand to make the process more manageable. Support groups, financial counseling and Genetic Risk Evaluation and Testing are also available. Knowledgeable physicians, nurse practitioners and other healthcare members work as a team to customize treatment for each patient’s condition. They have years of experience in treating cancer and blood disorders and remain by the patient’s side throughout treatment. Most patients receive care in an outpatient setting, so they can stay near their support system of family and friends. Texas Oncology provides leading-edge care for more than 50,000 new cancer patients every year. They have an extensive network of more than 420 physicians and 175 locations throughout the state. Texas Oncology is also involved in more than 1,000 clinical trials, Phases I-IV, focused on preventing cancer or its recurrence.
