University High School

Q: Do you have any study tips?
A: Break each class up. Give a certain amount of time to each class when you’re studying. Take breaks.
Q: What is one thing you wish you’d known in your freshman year of high school?
A: Don’t procrastinate. When I was a freshman, I would wait until the last second. Procrastinating reduces the quality of your work. Also, when you’re in class, don’t be afraid to ask questions. Be inquisitive.
Q: What is the best lesson you’ve learned from a teacher?
A: Don’t be full of yourself. Have humility.
Q: What are your school and community involvements?
A: I’m involved in band, student council and baseball. I’m also in Key Club. With Key Club, we volunteer at different places every week.
I volunteer at the Salvation Army at least once a month.
Q: How do you decompress from a stressful schedule?
A: I like to go for walks or play video games.
Q: What do you plan to do after graduation?
A: I’ve been accepted to Texas A&M. I hope to go there and study to be a civil engineer or aerospace engineer.
