Waco’s Partner for a Healthy Community
Planned Parenthood’s health center opened in 1939 led by Waco volunteers who understood that helping women access birth control to plan and space their pregnancies would improve their health and the health of their families. Today, that mission is more important than ever as Texans seek accurate information and quality healthcare to plan their lives and their futures. Services provided include teen pregnancy prevention education and a full range of FDA-approved birth control, including IUDs and implants which prevent unintended pregnancies for 3 to 12 years. Wacoans count on Planned Parenthood for healthcare including annual exams, cervical cancer screenings, STD testing and treatment, HIV testing, clinical breast exams, HPV vaccines, midlife services for menopause, UTI treatment, PrEP and PEP to prevent HIV, medication and surgical abortion, and other services. The new Audre Rapoport Health Center on Highway 6 is open for any patient regardless of income, insurance status, documentation status or who they love. Healthcare services are available through 24/7 online scheduling, same-day and next-day appointments. Care, no matter what.
