Creekside Community Village
At full capacity, Mission Waco hopes to provide homes for over 300 individuals experiencing homelessness. Creekside Community Village will provide wrap-around services with existing Mission Waco programs and partnerships. This will not only keep neighbors off the streets and in a community, but it will also give individuals a permanent place to call home. Mission Waco’s Executive Director John Calaway said, “Creekside Community Village is the first step for our neighbors not just getting off the streets, but in staying off the streets permanently and becoming a thriving member of our community.”
Mission Waco’s Creekside Community Village held its groundbreaking ceremony on October 8, 2024. Since the groundbreaking ceremony, Mission Waco has begun development of phase one, which will include 35 homes for individuals exiting homelessness.
On May 16, join Mission Waco at Creekside Community Village for a block party event celebrating the homecoming of their first phase of residents. Housing alone will not end homelessness for an individual, but community will.
