Michelle, a graduate of Baylor Law School, became Russ Hunt, Sr.’s law partner in January 2013, forming Hunt & Tuegel, PLLC. Michelle has tried a number of high profile capital murder cases, aggravated sexual assault cases, kidnapping, aggravated robbery cases, and federal felony drug cases. Before her legal career, Michelle was a world-class athlete ranking third in the world and first in the United States in the sport of women’s slalom water skiing. Michelle’s intense drive to be the best has carried over into her legal career. Michelle is among the youngest attorneys in Texas who are capital murder second-chair qualified. Michelle was selected for the Texas Monthly Super Lawyers Rising Star list for 2015, 2016 and 2017, an honor reserved for those lawyers who exhibit excellence in practice. She was also included in the Texas Monthly Super Lawyers Rising Star lists Up and Coming Top 100 Lawyers and Up and Coming Top 50 Women Lawyers. He is board certified in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
