Ushering in a New Season for A Summer Home
Wacoans have a unique opportunity to bring new life to the historic Cameron Summer Home, a 100-year-old structure on the McLennan Community College campus. Originally named “Valley View,” the home was built by William W. Cameron as a wedding gift to his bride in June 1922. Since the 1970s, it has hosted countless arts, social and wedding events, making it a trove of local memories. Headed by Betsy Reeder and supported in part by businessman Clifton Robinson, the “New Season for a Summer Home” restoration effort will preserve the home’s good bones and grand courtyard to again host memorable community events. This attraction will also feature exhibits to preserve Waco’s remarkable history. Thank you for helping open a new chapter for this iconic Waco treasure; visit cameronsummerhome.com to learn more.
