Broker/Owner, Spearhead Realty
For Maggie Mutahi Beseda, real estate had always been the family business and it was presumed that she and her siblings would all work for their dad. But Maggie had ambitions of her own and completed a bachelor’s degree in business administration and embarked on her dream to become a commercial helicopter pilot. Since then, though, she joined the business and started her own real estate brokerage, Spearhead Realty. She said being a pilot actually compares to being a Realtor. “As a pilot, I had to be calm, focused and decisive — lives depended on it. I bring this same duty of care to my clients in their home ownership journey.” As an Army wife, Maggie has had her fair share of moves which helps when assisting buyers and sellers relocating both locally and nationally. She believes real estate is a legacy which shapes owners and their families for generations so she works diligently with her clients to find their dream home and navigate smoothly to the closing table. “When I work with clients, I consider myself to be joining their team,” Maggie said. “We work together to achieve their goals whether it be buying or selling their home or both.” Why did she call her business Spearhead Realty? It reflects the type of leadership style she embodies. “I am most comfortable on the leading edge, making the way and creating solutions that last. It also reminds me of my dad’s stories about the value of a spearhead when he was growing up in rural Africa over 80 years ago.” Maggie’s dad passed away in September of 2019. “He was a great influence in my life and an amazing spearhead in our community. He taught us the business and how to live our lives with integrity. We miss him dearly,” Maggie said.
