Making Waco A Beautiful Place To Live, Work And Play
Although Keep Waco Beautiful has been contributing to Waco’s beautification efforts since the late 1970’s, many residents are not aware of the accomplishments or who actually makes up the organization. Keep Waco Beautiful is not a division of the City of Waco, but rather a non-profit organization comprised mostly of friends, neighbors and local businesses volunteering their time and efforts to help make Waco a beautiful place to live. They often work quietly in the background and don’t seek a lot of recognition. Projects can be as small as a Brazos River cleanup or as large building Miss Nellies Pretty Place in Cameron Park. What once started as a beautification committee is now a non-profit organization with over 13,000 volunteers and a plethora of activities yearly.
