Katherine Turner-Pearson is a Registered Professional Archaeologist (#16193), Principal Investigator, senior scientist and owner of Central Texas Archaeological Resources. She has more than 30 years of experience in prehistoric and historic archaeology, geoarchaeology, geomorphology and soil chemistry, along with a thorough understanding of federal and state antiquity laws. Katherine is a native Wacoan and serves on the boards of the Community Race Relations Coalition and the Waco Vietnam Memorial, and she previously held a judicial appointment on the McLennan County Tax Appraisal Review Board. She was vice president of the Waco Cultural Arts Festival and a board member of the local American Heart Association. Katherine graduated from both Baylor University, with a B.A. in archaeology and a B.A. in journalism, and from Texas A&M University, with a M.A. in anthropology/archaeology.
