Junior League of Waco

Power of Pre-K, Women Building Better Communities

The Junior League of Waco is a nonprofit organization committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Through more than 85 years of service, members have given millions of volunteer hours to support the League’s mission. This year, the League is continuing new programs promoting the Power of Pre-K within early childhood education and development, believing that investing early in a child’s life proactively sets her up for success and will have an indelible impact on Waco. League members will support the Power of Pre-K by participating in community projects and collaborative partnerships to carry out the JLW’s vision, that all women and children of McLennan County are equipped to thrive and fulfill their full potential. The League welcomes new members in both the spring and fall each year. The community is invited to show their support by contributing to ongoing fundraising efforts. Stay tuned for updates at jlwaco.org for their annual event, Deck the Halls… More than a Gift Market.
