Q: Do you have any study tips?
A: Start early. Don’t try to cram in all the information at one time.
Q: What is one thing you wish you’d known in your freshman year of high school?
A: Don’t procrastinate. I’ve been known to be a bad procrastinator.
Q: What is the best lesson you’ve learned from a teacher?
A: Aim big. Don’t sell yourself short.
Q: What are your school and community involvements?
A: I play basketball, tennis and golf. I compete in UIL in number sense, math and science. I’m a member of National Honor Society and PALS.
Q: What are your school and community involvements?
A: I do community service through PALS. Just today, we went to Walmart and bought clothes and toys for Toys for Tots. I’m involved in the youth group at First United Methodist Church in McGregor.
Q: How do you decompress from a stressful schedule?
A: Sports. When I play basketball, I forget about what’s stressing me. Also, golf is calming.
Q: What do you plan to do after graduation?
A: I plan on going to the University of Texas to major in aerospace engineering. I’d like to get an internship at SpaceX this summer. Further down the road, if I can’t get a job in Austin, I’ll come back to Waco. Or I may get a master’s degree. Long term, I’d like to work for NASA.
