Jesse’s Tortilla Factory

Celebrating 58 Years

Jesse Contreras opened Jesse’s Tortilla Factory with one roller machine in 1958. In the last 58 years, the Contreras family has grown the business into a well-known Waco establishment. The business is owned by Jesses’s wife, Esther, with the help of her daughter, Alicia Rodriguez, and grandson, Santos Rodriguez Jr., who manage the business together. Jesse’s has won best tortillas two years in a row, as well as best tamales in 2015 and 2016. They’re also known for their restaurant-style chips and salsa and guacamole. Their tortillas are made from scratch daily, guaranteeing a fresh, delicious product. Jesse’s is open to the public for takeaway orders. They’re proud to be a family business in downtown Waco and a consecutive Best of Waco winner.
