Historic Waco

Have you ever wanted to dance in an elegant ballroom, solve a murder mystery in a 19th century historic house or stroll through a two-block garden in the middle of Waco, Texas? Historic Waco offers all this and more in an exciting reimagining of what it means to be the keepers of Waco’s history and heritage. Established in 1967, HW interprets the history of Waco and McLennan County through three historic homes: East Terrace, McCulloch and Earle-Napier-Kinnard. Guided tours from trained docents are available at each house, with limited-time seasonal tours taking place in December. A fall and spring lecture take place every year, covering diverse topics such as Latin American music and Central Texas Indigenous culture. Discover all our events and programs at historicwaco.org.
