Q: What are your study tips?
A: What I find works for me, I’ll take notes. [Then] I’ll rewrite my notes, but I put it in my own words.
Q: What is one thing you wish you’d known in your freshman year?
A: I think I wish I would have known to try more things. Not necessarily in terms of classes, but also extracurricular activities.
Q: What are your school and community involvements?
A: At school I’m in the National Honor Society and the [College Readiness and Leadership Program]. I’ve also participated in the Science Olympiad. In the community, I’ve volunteered at Shepherd’s Heart, the Mayborn Museum and Habitat for Humanity. I’ve also volunteered with my church.
Q: What do you plan to do after graduation?
A: I plan to start college in the fall of 2017. My plan is to go to UT Austin and get my bachelor’s in computer science. I’m thinking I want to go into web design or be a web developer.
Q: What has been your favorite subject?
A: I’ve always really liked biology.
Q: What has been your most challenging subject?
A: It’s a tie between AP world history and AP biology. Both were very difficult.
Q: What one word describes you best?
Q: What is your proudest accomplishment thus far?
A: On both of my AP world history and AP biology tests, I scored a 4 out of 5. I was really proud of both of those scores.
