Community Cancer Association

Fighting Cancer Together

Since 1959, Community Cancer Association has helped local cancer patients who cannot afford costs associated with treatment and recovery. While working directly with all local cancer facilities, CCA support covers three areas in the patient’s journey: treatment and survivorship, living with cancer and access to healthcare. Currently providing between 400 and 500 doses of prescribed medications per day, no one should have to choose between buying food or taking their medications. CCA also helps cover supplies and nutritional supplements necessary for daily life and helps with gas money for travel to treatments. CCA is a local organization governed by a local, volunteer board of directors and is entirely supported by local donors. A minimal staff works in donated office space provided by Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest, ensuring funds go directly to help local patients, survivors and their families. Cancer affects people of all ages, races and walks of life. Cancer doesn’t discriminate and neither does CCA. Call for qualification details.
