City of Waco Parks & Recreation

Guarantee your kids a great time this summer with the many programs and activities offered by the City of Waco Parks and Recreation Department. From summer camps and outdoor recreation, to hands-on learning and educational opportunities, there’s something fun for everyone! Adventure awaits at Camp Cameron, an outdoor camp for kids ages 5-13. The camp meets at the Cameron Park Clubhouse and focuses on activities like archery, kayaking and hiking. Waco’s three community centers — Bledsoe-Miller, Dewey and South Waco — also host summer camps for children and youth. Campers enjoy a variety of traditional day camp activities, including recreational games, field trips, swimming and more. If you are looking for some family fun, be sure to check out the Waco Mammoth National Monument, which is open seven days a week. Cameron Park is another great spot — perfect for picnics, playgrounds, disc golf, fishing, exploring and more. For information, visit
