The City of Waco Parks and Recreation Department offers summer camps and activities that put smiles on kids’ faces. Camp Cameron is an outdoor adventure camp for kids ages 5-13. The camp meets at the Cameron Park Clubhouse and focuses on outdoor activities like archery, kayaking and hiking.
Waco’s three community centers (Bledsoe-Miller, Dewey and South Waco) also host camps for children and youth. The camps include recreational games, field trips and more.
If you are looking for a day trip for the family, try the Waco Mammoth National Monument, which is open seven days a week. And of course, Cameron Park is perfect for picnics, playgrounds, disc golf, fishing and exploring. For information, visit waco-texas.com or call 750-5980.
