CWJC Waco honors site coordinator, Sara Aguirre, and executive director, Lydia Tate, as a dynamic team of women in business. Sara and Lydia strive daily to develop a supportive community onsite and provide for the needs of the Waco community. CWJC Waco is a local nonprofit serving women over the age of 18 in McLennan County since 2003. CWJC provides 100% free job training and GED classes that seek to empower women through a holistic approach that fosters spiritual, personal and professional growth and enables women to transform themselves, their families and their communities. Classes include GED prep and testing, money management, computers, Bible study, personal relationship growth, resume writing, interview skills and much more. Pairing classes with tutoring, case management and mentoring empowers graduates to become confident and capable employees and community members.
