Lorena High School
Q: What are your study tips?
A: It usually helps me to say things out loud. Also, it’s important to take well-organized notes so you know where everything is.
Q: What is one thing you wish you’d known your freshman year?
A: If I were to give advice to an incoming freshman I would say do what you want to do, follow your own path, and be involved in the organizations you want to be involved with. Put yourself out there and be confident. That’s very important.
Q: What has been your favorite and your most challenging subjects?
A: I really enjoy theater as a class. I prefer one-act plays. My most challenging subject would be AP physics. I’m more of a history and English kind of guy.
Q: What are your plans for college?
A: I plan to go to UT Austin and study business. Either marketing or management – I’m not really sure. But I’ve also applied to the honors college.
Q: Growing up, what is something your mother or father always told you?
A: They always told me to try my best and that’s all that matters.
Q: Was there one teacher who had a significant impact on you?
A: I’d probably say my theater director, Mr. Bogner. He’s created an open environment of self-expression, but he also pushed us to grow in ourselves and be more confident in who we are and develop into better people with stronger character.
Q: What is something most people don’t know about you?
A: I’m an Eagle Scout, and I love the outdoors. I also want to learn how to swing dance and learn how to drive a motorcycle. Another important part of my life is my faith.
