Lee’s journey to opening Butter My Biscuit café began with her love of cooking for family and friends. She cooked the way her mother and grandmothers did – for joy and family. Crafting recipes throughout the years that she loved, it turned out other people loved them too. After some urging by her fans, Lee started a home catering business. When her husband, Brent, found a kitchen next door to Bankston’s – their original family business – the Butter My Biscuit cafe was born. Lee still makes the biscuits, soups, baked goods and entrees from scratch with fresh ingredients daily and still cooks with joy. Her gentle, hand-made touch makes their biscuits soft and tender and she says the extra time it takes is worth every minute. Taste one and they think you’ll agree.
