Tips and Traditions

Be ready to raise your voice with one of the many Baylor chants. Here’s one you’ll hear often throughout the game:

  1. Be your loudest when our defense is on the field!
  2. Yell a sustained “OHHHH!” to make it as loud as possible for the opposing offense. The louder you are, the harder it is for the team to hear the quarterback’s audibles and the offensive line to hear the snap count.
  3. When our offense is on the field… BE QUIET!
  4. Then, when your Bears get a first down or score (which is often), you can let all that noise loose, and remind our visiting foes just how long a day it will be!

BU Game DayGolden Wave Marching Band
Keep your eyes and ears open for the Golden Wave Marching Band as it make its way to the stadium through the student tailgating area 45 minutes before the game.

Baylor In-Game App
Be sure to check out the app for instant replays & to participate in the light show when prompted!

Didn’t Get Tickets?
The berm is the grassy area under the scoreboard where you can watch the game for a cheaper ticket price. You will have access to concessions and bathrooms but not the rest of the stadium.

Clear Bag Policy
One bag per person. No larger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches. Must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC or a one-gallon resealable plastic freezer bag. Small clutches no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches will also be allowed. Show your Baylor Spirit with a Baylor Game Day clear stadium tote bag. You may also bring one empty, clear water bottle to get you through the heat. No glass, and it cannot exceed one liter.

TOUCHDOWN ALLEY is the official pregame tailgating area of Baylor Game Day. Located on the old Floyd Casey turf on the Southeast side of McLane Stadium. Touchdown Alley opens three hours before kickoff and closes 30 minutes before kickoff. It’s free for the whole family to enjoy but bring cash for food and drinks from the many Baylor Partners who will have their own interactive activation site to enjoy. Join fans as they welcome the players two hours before kickoff at The Bear Walk at the South Plaza. Meet between gates D and A at the South Plaza to cheer on the players.

Enjoy inflatable games, face painting and more to get you geared up for game day. Catch up on all the stats and stories at the Baylor Alumni Tailgate Show two hours before kickoff. Hosts Brooke Bednarz, John Morris and Derek Smith, along with analysts Seth Russell and Elliot Coffey, give an inside look of Baylor Football. You can also catch the livestream online, on KCEN and KAGS station, and ESPN 1660.
