The 9th annual TriWaco, a USA Triathlon-sanctioned event, starts at 7 a.m. at Indian Spring Park. The Olympic tri begins with a 1,500-meter open water swim in the Brazos River, followed by a 25-mile bike ride on country roads and ends with a hilly 10K run along the Brazos River that finishes on the Suspension Bridge. TriWaco also offers a sprint distance event: a 400-meter swim, a 12-mile bike ride and a 5K run, also finishing on the bridge.
