It’s no secret that Downtown Waco is experiencing a period of growth that continues to attract new businesses and bring renewed life to existing establishments. There’s plenty to appeal to a wide variety of clientele: young families, college students, lifelong residents whose roots in Waco run generations deep — and, of course, couples.

If you and your significant other have recently visited Downtown Waco, you may have noticed a 14-person bike captained by Daniel Abarca of Waco Pedal Tours. This novel way of visiting different hot spots around town allows residents and tourists alike to see Waco in a new light while enjoying an upbeat atmosphere, a planned itinerary and the opportunity to meet others in the tour group.

However, there’s also something to be said for the walkability of Downtown Waco. The proximity of many businesses allows for a leisurely pace and a unique shopping — or window shopping — experience. And with so many places to get drinks and dinner downtown, it’s easy to customize your date night atmosphere, whether casual and low-key or more lively.
