It’s been said, “Don’t judge a book by its cover,” or in the case of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church, “Don’t judge a church by its red brick exterior.” In its 108-year-history, the church has seen many wonderful days, but as Pastor Brian Dunks would tell you, its brightest days are unfolding only now. With the addition of a new Sunday morning worship and Bible Study schedule, a sense of expectancy of God and His activity are at an all time high. Sunday morning worship includes a vibrant Traditional Worship Service in the sanctuary complete with full choir and orchestra at 8:30 a.m., a fully graded Bible Study at 9:45 a.m. and a Contemporary Worship Service at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary with a band in a more relaxed setting. Families with children of all ages, youth and college students, young to senior adults represent the family that is Columbus.
