Advocacy Center for Crime Victims & Children

  • Adopt a family or child for Christmas
  • Blank journals
  • New art supplies (smaller, individual sizes are preferred): markers, glitter, glue, scissors, beads and jewelry supplies (string, clasps, etc.), white T-shirts (all sizes), fabric paints (acrylic and tempera), dye for shirts (tie-dye) for therapy work
  • New clothing for sexual assault survivors at the hospital (their clothing becomes evidence). Women’s: sweat pants (S, M, L), T-shirts (S, M, L), sports bras (S, M, L), panties (sizes 4, 5, and 6) and socks; Boys’ boxer shorts (all sizes) and T-shirts (4-6T)
  • New toys to use with boys and girls in the hospital exam room such as cars, coloring books with crayons and other small toys or books
  • Children’s DVDs for the waiting room at the Advocacy Center or VCR tapes for the hospital
  • Wal-Mart gift certificates for client’s emergency needs
  • Bus passes
  • Bottled water and canned sodas for hospital exam room
  • Volunteers over 21 are needed to work with children in foster care, sexual assault survivors and the 24-hour crisis hotline (all shifts available). Training begins in January; call now.

Animal Birth Control Clinic

  • Yellow highlighters and ink pens
  • Sponsor a spay/neuter for the pet of a low-income family
  • Powered laundry detergent
  • Volunteers over 17; kennel and clerical assistance on a scheduled weekly/bi-weekly basis
  • Volunteers to assist in completing paperwork during monthly Sunday vaccination clinics
  • Scotch tape refills
  • 1″ rolls of masking tape (to label surgical packs)
  • A rent-free space would free funds to perform thousands more spays and neuters
  • Gallons of distilled water for the autoclave sterilization unit
