The Waco-McLennan County Library

The Waco-McLennan County Library Summer Reading Club kicks off June 1. Kids from birth to age 17 can participate in the club by visiting the library and picking up a reading log anytime in June. When kids meet their reading goals, they come back to the library to collect fantastic prizes like sunglasses, noisemakers and, of course, books! Each week in June and July the Summer Reading Club will host a performance guaranteed to entertain and educate. There will be puppet shows, scientists, theater and more. Each performer will visit the library’s four locations during the week, so there will be four chances to attend each event. Fan favorite programs like Girls Who Code, Minecraft and STEAM Team will still be happening, too. Learning doesn’t stop just because school is out for the summer, so be sure and visit the library to stay cool and have fun.
