Women Building Better Communities
The Junior League of Waco is a nonprofit organization committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Through 80 years of service, members have given millions of volunteer hours to support the League’s mission. The League currently focuses its efforts in the area of Early Childhood Education & Development for children ages 0-3, believing that supporting the youngest among us will have an indelible impact on Waco. League members participate in nine community projects and collaborative partnerships, and the League is dedicated to helping those members and members of the community bloom and grow. The League awards grants to organizations with critical needs. Each year, the League’s biggest fundraising event, the Deck the Halls Gift Market, engages the Waco community in the endeavors of the League. This year, browse and buy wares from more than 80 merchants and kickstart your holiday season at the 11th Annual Market, “An Enchanted Christmas,” which will take place on November 3-6 at the Waco Convention Center.
