Humane Society of Central Texas

Finding a Friend is Easier Than You Think

As an advocate for the community goal of achieving No Kill status, the Humane Society of Central Texas provides adoption, rescue and foster opportunities for the homeless animals at the City of Waco Animal Shelter, as well as community education regarding responsible pet ownership. The partnership between the Humane Society and the Waco Animal Shelter has saved over 3,315 lives just since October— a 94.75 percent live exit rate. If you’re looking for a new pet, visit the Waco Animal Shelter. If you can’t adopt, consider sponsoring, donating or becoming a foster home to help us save lives. The shelter is open Monday-Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Save the date for the annual Wine and Food Festival, benefiting the Humane Society, September 16 at Indian Spring Park.
