The Friends of the Waco-McLennan County Library’s annual book sale each November at the Heart of Texas Fairgrounds is a green event with a literary twist. Donated books, paperbacks, videos and DVDs collected by the Friends throughout the year are offered in one of the largest used book sales in the Southwest.

Proceeds benefit the Waco-McLennan County Library System by supporting children, teen and adult programming and new materials for Waco’s four libraries. Donations are also used to help other libraries in McLennan County. So recycle those books and videos around your house by donating them to the Friends of the Library at any Waco library location. Pick-up is available for large quantities and can be scheduled by calling 750-5943. More information is available on the website. Don’t forget to visit the Friends Book Sale November 4-7 to find great recycled books that will allow you to Live to Read and Read to Live.
