The Wacoan is proud to announce the winners of our ninth annual Best of Waco contest. After two months of online polling, votes were hand-tabulated in 184 categories. Voters were required to answer more than a third of the questions for their vote to be counted, and special care was taken to guard against duplicate voting.

As each year passes, the Best of Waco contest continues to grow. To provide our readers with a more comprehensive list of Waco’s “best” businesses, we’ve expanded our list to include 41 new categories, including an entire section dedicated to bridal products and services. Nine-time winners were crowned in nine categories: Chicken-Fried Steak, Bank, Car Wash, Dry Cleaner, Furniture Store, Internet Service Provider, Mother’s Day Out Program, Realtor and Orthodontist. For the fourth time, we’ve noted the highest-ranking local winner in categories where a franchise landed the top spot. From successful family businesses to popular chains, Waco is a fascinating mix.
